7 Ways to Lose 5 Pounds in 30 Days

7 Ways to Lose 5 Pounds in 30 DaysHey there my name is Drew Berman and like you I struggled with my weight my whole life.
I was a chunky kid growing up. I got into shape when I did high school football but I was never a lean mean fighting machine until I started studying a little bit about nutrition. I now have a lot of friends who are medical doctors, health practitioners, I actually have a lot of great friends who went to the Institute of Hollistic Nutrition where they are taught about high level superfoods.
We put together a list of seven ways to lose five pounds in a 30 days.
Now, some of these might be blatantly obvious, some of them might be aha! moments for you, especially number seven. So stick around and let’s give you these tips.

Now tip number one, it should be the most obvious, if it’s not, hopefully this will really help you with your metabolism and your weight. Certainly, this one tip can really alone help you change your diet, your metabolism, your weight: and it’s water.

Now obviously, you want to drink good water. If you can get purified or filtered, if you are able to get water that changes the PH factor, there are certain waters out there on the market that help the body become more alkaline and less acidic. But if you can actually just up your water content to half your body weight in ounces of water, you are going to find really great results. You will have much more energy, better sleep, better focus, and you will find that the foods that you do eat will help you a lot. Half your body weight in ounces of water. That’s tip number one.
Now, tip number two I’ve heard my whole life and never really paid attention to it. I remember my stepdad used to always snack at night time before bed and often times it was pretzels. You know what I’ve really learned and it has helped me tremendously, especially when I trained for a half marathon last fall, was not to eat after 8pm.

Just a very simple rule: just don’t eat after 8pm. That will allow the body to digest it’s food better while you’re sleeping.

Now, number three, this is a good steadfast rule moving forward: you want to have as much greens as you can with each meal.

Specifically, your protein. If you can have your protein be about the size of your fist and no more, that is a good amount of protein to visually fill up your plate. Fill up greens first and protein second and if you have to have carbs, have your heavy carbs at lunch rather than at dinner have your heaviest meal mid-day.

Such good advice. The eating before 8pm is not a problem for me unless we are eating out. The advice about drinking water I should have plastered across my brain as I often forget to drink.
Thanks for the strong reminder of how important it is Drew.

Solid advice here Drew. When I increased my water intake everything you mentioned happened. More energy, better focus it just all around made me feel better. Now the eating after 8pm I don’t agree 100% with. As long as you burn more calories than you take in it really don’t matter when someone eats in my opinion. Now you don’t want to have a big mac and fries and then go jump in the bed as you would probably feel bad but I’ve actually eaten meals at midnight and woken up a few pounds lighter but that just me. Everyone’s body responds to different things.
These are some great tips thanks for putting this together!
