Congratulations! You are involved in free enterprise; you are a compassionate capitalist, you want more out of life, you are in love with your company and your product, you are a network marketer.
Whether you are brand new or have been around for a while, you want people to talk to. You want to tell the world how wonderful your product is and you are trying to figure out how to find prospects for network marketing.
Well, there are 3 steps that every network marketer should learn to build a long term, residual income business. As Eric Worre says, our business isn’t perfect- it’s just better. But what’s the short cut? Network marketing is the short cut. It is the solution you have been looking for and there is no short cut to the short cut. But, you do have to know how to find prospects. Network marketing is becoming more main stream. We are attracting moms, athletes, doctors, Wall Street execs, people who own brick and mortar businesses and regular people like you and I.

3 Strategies on How to Find Prospects for Network Marketing

  1. Warm Market Prospecting

    There is a “friends and family” myth about recruiting and protecting. I don’t want to work with my friends and family, and I certainly don’t want to work with yours. However, there are people that you already know, and that know you, that would be a perfect fit for your company. And, not only the people that you know, but the people that they know too. Somewhere in that list, are some folks that might be open to your opportunity … If not, they might be open to your product and service.

    Tip – Invite your warm market with an attitude of servitude – you are doing something for your warm market, not to your warm market. And don’t be too attached to the outcome. Might want to tell them what you are doing, and invite them to check it out. If it’s a fit great, if not great. And, if the opportunity doesn’t make sense, perhaps your product or service can enhance their life in some way.

  2. Prospecting Cold Market

    When you are out and about, you meet people. You meet them at the bank, at your kids’ school functions, at the grocery store etc. You also meet people online, Facebook and other social media sites. You always want to be able to add people to your list. My favorite answer when people ask me how to find prospects for network marketing is something I “stole” from the late great Jim Rohn…. I find prospects wherever they are. You see, we are in the people business and there are people everywhere.

    Tip – Put yourself in environments where you can meet people who have similar interests. Online and Offline. Join online groups and offline groups (ie My friend Ray Higdon put together a KILLER cold market recruiting blueprint. In my opinion it’s one of the best out there.   3. Attraction Marketing

    This is when you started pumping value into the market place. Your posts on Facebook, your presence on social media … Is all about teaching, training, empowering people. You are not selling. You are not prospecting. Your helping people solve problems. You are educating them. You are following the learn, implement, teach philosophy. Maybe you are blogging. Attracting people to me and my business is my favorite way to prospect people for network marketing.

    Tip – Most people don’t even get past step 1. They quit before they can even get to step 2. A couple friends and family say no and they are out of the game. Stay in long enough, and get good at all 3, and you can create real, and long term income.

    Awesome post Drew… love the Jim Rohn thought.. find them where they are. In the end the lack of prospects is really just a fear thing or an excuse for people… prospects are literally every where you look… comes down to how bad do you really want it?
