Inspirational Quotes By Women

inspirational quotes by womenInspirational quotes are meant to do just that: inspire. Sometimes life takes its toll with its ups and downs. Sometimes it’s a quick fix. Sometimes it takes time. An always-welcome reminder that, although you might be down at the moment, you’re by no means out for good. They could be the pick-me-up you need to make that first step and get back out there!
Nobody is perfect. Know that. Understand that. Internalize that. And move on.
That said, shoot for the moon! Even of you don’t hit your target, there’s a guarantee you hit the stars! In other words, you still have to try. In fact, you have to try hard if you really want to achieve something big. Hopefully these quotes will inspire you to do just that!

Favorite Inspirational Quotes By Women

Inspirational Quote #1

“A woman is like a teabag – you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

One of my favorite inspirational quotes by one of my favorite first ladies. Life is constantly testing you. Whether it’s your nerves, your courage or even your temper it’s always going to be tempting to throw in the towel or take the easy way out. It’s what we do in those moments though that defines us both as a person and a leader. When the pressure is on, that’s when a leader performs and inspires.

Inspirational Quote #2

“The best protection any woman can have is courage.”
Elizabeth Cady Stanton

An outspoken suffragette, Stanton never stopped pushing when it came to something she believed in so it’s no surprise that she had some inspirational quotes to bestow upon us. The fact that the late nineteenth century wasn’t as receptive to her ideas of universal suffrage as she would have liked didn’t stop her though. She organized conventions, gave speeches and drafted declarations and was often portrayed in a less than flattering light because of her zeal. Her valiant fight is a lesson to us all, teaching us to never give up on what we truly believe in no matter what the opposition says. Sometimes life takes a little bravery.

Inspirational Quote #3

“The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who’s going to stop me.”
Ayn Rand

Known for works like Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead, Rand immigrated to the United States after a tumultuous time in Russia, the constricting government an obvious influence on her writings and laissez-faire leanings. One of many of Rand’s inspirational quotes, this goes hand in hand with the courage Stanton speaks of but with an added touch of defiance. So strong is her resolve, Rand practically dares her naysayers to stand in her way. This is a good mentality to have: be true to who you are and remember follow-through is key. It’s one thing to talk the talk, but the people you’re leading want to see that you can walk the walk as well.

Inspirational Quote #4

“Stop wearing your wishbone where your backbone ought to be.”
Elizabeth Gilbert

Speaking of inspirational quotes that get you moving… So many people just roll over, acquiescing to popular opinion in spite of their personal reservations. Be assertive! Clients want to know that you are willing to go to bat for them and employers want to see that you have thoughts of your own. Collaboration is a big factor in the business world, whether it’s working with different departments or just working with colleagues so don’t be afraid to contribute. The more you bring to the table, the more you’ll be looked to as a leader.

Inspirational Quote #5

“One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman.”
Simone de Beauvoir

Nobody’s perfect. You won’t always get it right and sometimes you’ll fall flat on your face. The important thing is that you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get right back out there. It’s what we take away from those mistakes, what we learn in the end, that helps us grow. Our mistakes as well as our successes shape what we become. Don’t think of mistakes as failures; think of them as learning experiences. Perfection takes time, tribulation and a whole lot of wisdom.
