Lessons from Amazon: Boost motivation and morale

Today I read an interesting article about how Amazon offers employees up to $5,000 to quit their jobs. When I saw the headline I was thinking, “Man, they must be crazy!” but after reading I realized that it was a fantastic way to boost employee motivation, morale and dedication to the job.
Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, explained that this offer forces employees to evaluate their happiness and their goals within the company. It encourages employees who may not be satisfied to leave on their own accord, while making the employees who choose to stay more dedicated to their job.
If your boss offered you $5,000 to quit your job today so you could pursue a different course, what would you do?

How can you boost your motivation?

Through personal experience, I have realized the importance in doing what makes you happy, even if it means taking a risk and trying something new. I have learned that the best motivation comes from empowering yourself. You deserve to be happy and live the life that you want.

Take a note from Amazon and reevaluate your goals and your happiness. I would love to hear your goals and your dreams. Do you want to be financially free, have more time for your family and hobbies, and be more content with how you’re living your life? Comment on this post telling me what you want out of life. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
