You came to this blog today to learn some network marketing prospecting techniques. Well you came to the right place. I have been involved in network marketing for 15 years now. I wrote in my book (check it out, to the right! —> ) that network marketing can be an expensive hobby or a lucrative business. To help make this a lucrative business, you want to have some prospecting techniques that will assist you.

- Get out your wedding list I am on the phone with one of my team mates. Lets call her “Tammy”. Tammy might be like you. She is excited about her new opportunity in network marketing, but she has not yet learned any network marketing prospecting techniques. I asked her how many people were on her wedding list. She said about 200.
When I asked her how many people from her wedding list she contacted, she said 1. I said that was a good start and then asked her if she thought it was possible that only 10% of her wedding list, that only 20 people, might be open to create some extra income, and agreed that it was possible. So folks, get out your wedding list. If you are not married, then get out your holiday card list.
- Get out of your head “Tammy” is so in her head. She said I don’t want to be in someone’s face. I asked her when else in her life does she get in someone’s face… she said never. So I asked her then why would you do that here. She had no good answer.
You deserve greatness in this wonderful profession. Get out of your head, get into your heart. This business is about helping people. Give them the gift. Share with them the opportunity. And don’t be addicted to the outcome. They may say yes, they may say no, or they may want more info… share with your heart, be compassionate… prospecting is not doing something to your prospects, its doing something for your prospects. We are making a difference in peoples lives. We are contributing to them. We are offering a solution.
- Find other networkers Yes you can build with dentists and gynecologists, but let’s go find some networkers. Let me know if you want an entire training on attracting networkers. It’s an art, and a science, that can be learned. Like anything it will take a season to get acquainted, a season to get good and a lifetime to master.
