Anyone starting something new can tell you that the fear of rejection is always there. Admit it, we’ve all faced insecurity and doubt that has inhibited us from moving forward.
Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s absolutely normal to feel this way and… it’s actually a good thing that you expect rejection.
In network marketing, people are going to say yes and people are going to say no. Allowing yourself to believe that rejection is part of this business will enable you, over time, to be okay with the idea of being declined. It’s just a matter of brushing it off and not taking it personally. The best way to deal with it is by telling yourself that at least you’re making the effort to get yourself known. Just because someone rejects you doesn’t mean that your ideas aren’t worthy. It just means that your ideas aren’t right for that person. It may not come as a surprise to you that the way you deal with rejection in network marketing is to simply accept it.
There are many situations where rejection is merely a momentary hurdle, serving to make the individual stronger. Take for example acting. If an actor were to get rejected, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re a bad actor or actress, but more so that they don’t fit the role that the casting director is looking for. Instead of seeing their rejection as a failure, the actor will instead move on to the next casting call. You should do the same. Keep moving. How you deal with rejection actually says a lot about how well you’re going to do in this business. If you were to get rejected, would you give up and quit or would you use it as fuel and determination to keep going? I hope you do the latter.
In network marketing, it’s actually the select few who do run with your ideas that can help you be the most successful. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have a large sum of people behind you at first. If you have a small team of people who believe in you, then that’s all you really need to become successful. It’s honestly best if you have a few determined and experienced people on your team than a load of inexperienced people who would leave you in a moment’s notice.
If you believe in yourself and your business, then it’s just a matter of time before more people start to notice. Remember that everyone starts at zero and the only way to go is up. As long as you continually keep striving toward the best for you and your business, then you can only get better. I believe in you, and I want you to make the effort to forget all of the rejections you’ll be getting and focus on how the approvals can get your business to grow. Deal with rejection in network marketing like the pro you will soon become.
