Sales Influence Following Don Spini's "Sixty Seconds to Yes"

Sales Influence Following Don Spini's "Sixty Seconds to Yes"Do you have sales influence? Sales is a game, an art, and a science. Are some people born with it? Perhaps. But it is a skill. Any skill can be learned. Any learned skill can be mastered. Or unlearned. Or relearned. You will learn sales influence following Don Spini’s Sixty Seconds to Yes. He is a master of sales and influence. He teaches how to sell before the selling process has begun. Spini’s take is that the sales process actually ends before the salesman begins to speak. This is counter-intuitive as sales people generally think the opposite. Wow! What an interesting spin on sales in general.
Buyers are liars. Now, I have heard that before. They don’t lie on purpose. But it is true that the first objection – often the first objections – are false. “I don’t have time.” “I don’t have money.” Sales professionals hear these all the time. But the goal is to get to the truth. They will lie out of fear – fear of the unknown. Don Spini shows how to get people to buy in sixty seconds. The decision to buy is made in the first sixty seconds.

Do you have sales influence?

Buying is natural. So those that succeed in sales, have sales influence. Following Don Spini’s Sixty Seconds to Yes allows sales professionals to allow nature to run its course, so to speak. Natural to buy. Unnatural to sell. Hmmm. That’s interesting. While most sales people study other sales people, Spini has spent his entire career studying buyers. Now there is a concept. So what has he learned?

Well I am anxious to find out!
I spoke to Don Spini on the phone the other day. I was introduced to him by one of my teammates that says his training was one of the best he has ever attended. Is that so? Well, we will soon see. I am on my way to Boston to see his training seminar. From his YouTube videos, he seems to start his sales training by saying that sales training doesn’t work. His seminar begins by him saying seminars don’t work. Brilliant!
I think I have sales influence. Spini thinks that sales people hinder the sales process.
So if you are striving to have sales influence, following Don Spini’s Sixty Seconds to Yes sounds like a good first step. My decision to buy was certainly within the first sixty seconds! I like the title. I liked talking with him on the phone.

I want to have more sales influence, following Don Spini’s Sixty Seconds to Yes.

The seminar is tomorrow (July 15, 2011) in Boston. I’m going to take the journey. Gotta get up at 5am, drive for 3 hours each way, and come back tired. But, I expect it to be worth it!
Stay tuned for part two…
– Drew

As it turns out, the term Sales Influence is a misnomer. It should really ge called Buyer Influnce. After attending this remarkable presentation with Drew I find that I have a lot to say about it. Look for my blog entries coming shortly to DrewBerman.com.

I was at this seminar for 60 Second to Yes and Don Spini with you on Friday. It was a tremendously informative session. Everyone in sales, or anyone that wishes to influence others could use this information. We all know who the “seller” is, isn’t it time we learned more about the “buyers”?
