So I keep getting these questions on Facebook about how to correctly market yourself. Learning to work with social media is an important strategy to learn in today’s society due to the world being so reliant on it for nearly everything. I always say it won’t take too much longer until the manual things in life all become digital.
For example, books and magazines are already on their way and pretty soon physical books and magazines will no longer be a thing and technology will completely take over.
The same is happening with network marketing. Back in the day people used to go door to door to get their sales and meet and greet their potential clients and even though there are still some of us out there who prefer this method, learning the skills necessary to do it all online is never a bad thing.
So today I am going to give you some tips and a strategy that you can use to learn how to work and maneuver your way around the social media website Facebook. The way I am going to do this is by giving you a five step method to follow which I like to call the 5 C’s of Facebook:
The first step in this method is to Connect:
Be yourself and connect with people on Facebook. Just be yourself! Be honest, humble, and vulnerable. Don’t try to sell them anything, simply engage in conversation like normal and lay your personality on the line for them to see. This builds a relationship and a strong bind and makes a person believe in you. This makes the bond between you and this person unbreakable and they will provide the support you need in the long run.
The second step is Commenting:
Be curious about what others are doing on Facebook and make comments on their page. This can be anyone from old high school friends, to old college roommates. Never try to simply sell people things. This makes you sound like a bad info-mercial or one of those weird robot voices that you have to talk to when you want to speak to an actual representative about your cell service. You have a heart people. Don’t be afraid to show it to others.
The third step in this process is joining a Community:
Join a like minded community of interests. If you like gardening, join a gardening group. This allows you to connect to people who share the same goals, hobbies, and interests as you. This helps to build a more genuine relationship and stronger bind between you and your potential client.
The fourth step is Contributing:
Figure out how to answer questions that others may have. For example, if a person has a question about something in the community that you joined and they voice the question generally, try to answer it or contribute some ideas on where they may be able to find the answer. Give some tips on different methods of gardening you have experimented with and that worked for you and allow others to give them a try.
The fifth and final step in this process is Compliment:
Give a shout out to others about their efforts and let them know you are aware of their successes and even their attempts if they happen to fail. Acknowledging your audience is an important aspect of these steps.
