Positivity is one of the most important qualities for a person to hold. It is literally the thing that gets you motivated enough to do what needs to be done everyday. A person’s outlook on life can effect not only them as a person but also those around them.
Moods and vibes radiate off of people and can be passed on through a simple look, a person’s posture, or the words they speak and how they are spoken. This is why it is so important for a person to keep in mind the power of positivity over the idea of negativity.
Since the world revolves around the internet and social media (which let’s be honest, is simply a gateway to Complaint County) there is more than enough negativity to go around.
Also since nearly everything revolves around technology, even if a person tries, it is extremely difficult to separate yourself from that kind of negativity. This can be especially true for anyone who works online (like network marketers). This is why it is extremely important to understand the power that a positive attitude and positive thoughts can have on a person’s self-esteem and overall work ethic.
For example, we all remember those stressful school days when there was a big test and everyone around you seemed to be mentally curled into the fetal position, freaking out over every question on the exam. No one can work under these kind of circumstances! You cannot be stressed out and thinking negatively and you cannot see the people around you acting stressed out and imposing their negative thoughts and behaviors upon you either. This can lead to a double edged sword of failure.
It is often said that the type of people you surround yourself with is the type of person you will turn out to be or begin to implement the behavior of.
If that person is always negative in their thoughts and behaviors, it is possible that this can rub off on you as well. One can not have this in the network marketing profession because it is literally your job to make the people you interact with positive thinkers and believers in a common goal.
Since the profession is down-talked so much by people without a vision or the ability to be positive, it would make no sense for someone who may be more of a pessimist to engage in the field or to surround yourself with people of this nature. The power of positivity needs to be showcased through you and into the hearts and minds of the people you work with and your consumers.
